We are seeking an
Assistant Accountant
to provide support for our Finance Department.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster in line with our hybrid working model.

About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare, review and post monthly journals and perform reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports
  • Prepare intra-government elimination schedules used for consolidated reporting
  • Support year-end financial reporting and audits
  • Assist in preparing short and long-term cash flow forecasts, including daily cash monitoring

About You
To be considered for this position you will possess a degree or relevant industry certification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience. Other requirements include:

  • Working towards or completed accounting qualification with relevant professional body membership (e.g. CPA or ICAA or equivalent program)
  • Sound understanding of accounting concepts and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise a multi-function computerised financial information system including accounting and spreadsheet packages (preferably Oracle and Microsoft Excel)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to enable identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action
  • High level of integrity to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and maintain confidentiality around sensitive issues
