We're Looking for Our Missing Piece - Could It Be You?
Senior Occupational Therapist | Leadership & Mentoring Role
Location: Granville
Employment Type: Flexible – Full-time or Part-time
The team at Early Bird Therapy Services is ready to welcome a new Early Bird into our nest and this time, we're looking for someone special: an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist with a passion not just for working with children, but for leading, mentoring, and inspiring others.
We're a close-knit, fun-loving crew dedicated to early intervention (primarily under 5s), while also supporting school-aged children. At Early Bird, our work is driven by purpose: supporting children physically, emotionally, and socially, while walking alongside their families with empathy, care, and respect. Our values are simple: put the child first, work as a team, and lift each other up.
In this leadership role, you'll bring your experience and knowledge to guide a team of talented OTs, offering supervision, mentorship, and clinical support. You'll also carry a reduced caseload to allow time for mentoring, service development, and collaboration, especially within our multidisciplinary programs that blend OT and Speech in creative, fun, and functional ways.
If you're someone who:
- Wants to lead with heart and clinical integrity
- Believes in the power of early intervention
- Values connection, collaboration, and curiosity
- Is excited to help shape the growth of a passionate team
we'd love to hear from you
Your Role Will Include:
- Leading and supporting a team of OTs through supervision, mentoring, and clinical guidance
- Working with children and families through 1:1 and group-based therapy
- Conducting assessments and tailoring intervention plans
- Collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals
- Contributing to service development and innovation within the team
What You'll Need:
- Qualification in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's or higher)
- Full registration with AHPRA
- Extensive experience working with children, ideally in early intervention or disability
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, family-centred practice
- Confidence in supervising and mentoring others
- WWCC and relevant clearances
Why Join Early Bird?
- Opportunity to step into a clinical leadership role
- Time allocated for mentoring and team development
- A supportive, collaborative team that values you as a whole person
- Regular supervision and peer learning
- Flexible hours and working arrangements
- PD budget and opportunities for growth
- Reliable admin support so you can focus on the work that matters
We're gearing up for another big year, and we'd love to do it with you on board.
