As the
Strategy Analyst
at Velocity, you'll support senior leaders on high-impact, cross-functional projects that shape the future of Australia's most loved airline and loyalty program. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 2–4 years' experience in Management Consulting, who is eager to grow their strategic toolkit, gain exposure to commercial decision-making, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative industry.
In addition, you will:
- Contribute to the development of Velocity's strategy and positioning to drive competitive advantage and guest value.
- Support the delivery of major strategic and transformational initiatives through structured problem-solving and analysis.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform short, medium, and long-term business decisions.
- Conduct financial analysis, including airline operating economics, to evaluate and inform strategic opportunities.
- Track key performance metrics to assess progress against strategic goals and commercial success.
- Prepare clear, compelling presentations to communicate insights and influence stakeholders across the organisation.
- Stay across industry trends and internal developments to support continuous alignment with organisational strategy.
You'll be great in this role if you:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics (postgraduate qualifications like CFA or CPA are a bonus)
- Minimum 2–4 years' experience in a Strategy role, ideally in a Management Consulting or in-house Strategy setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and data tools
- A commercial mindset and a structured approach to solving business challenges
- Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas into actionable insights
- A working knowledge of financial modelling, business case development, and strategic frameworks
- An interest in aviation economics, loyalty programs, and the broader travel industry landscape
