About Us

The Health Hub in Medowie is a dynamic and multidisciplinary clinic offering services in psychiatry, speech pathology, occupational therapy, dietetics, and other services. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent care to our community, and we are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join us on a casual basis.

The Role

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organised Medical / Allied Health Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. As a Medical / Allied Health Receptionist at The Health Hub, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and providing outstanding customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • Manage patient appointments and schedule consultations
  • Handle phone calls and respond to inquiries
  • Process patient information and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and processing payments
  • Ensure the waiting area and reception desk are tidy and presentable
  • Coordinate with medical professionals and administrative staff
  • Perform other administrative duties as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Medical or Allied Health Receptionist or in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with medical software and office management systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A compassionate and patient-focused attitude
