About the role

Byrneville is seeking an experienced Senior Station Hand to join our team at our farm in Blakney Creek, NSW. Our farm stretches over 10,000acres running Merino sheep and Angus cattle we also put a big emphasis on pasture and land improvement. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations and long-term success of our farming business.

What you'll be doing

1.     You will be working closely with the Farm Manager assisting with the day to day operations and running of livestock, including feeding, health monitoring, and breeding.

2.     Maintaining fences, yards, and other farm infrastructure to ensure the safety and security of our animals.

3.     Assisting with the operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.

4.     Collaborating with the farm management team to identify and implement process improvements.

5.     Adhering to all WH&S procedures.

What we're looking for

1.     Previous experience (2+years) as a station hand or farm labourer in a similar agricultural setting.

2.     Strong practical skills in stock handling and animal husbandry procedures, machinery operation, welding experience and general farm maintenance

3.     Motorbike experience.

4.     Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address day-to-day challenges.

5.     A passion for the agriculture industry and a desire to contribute to the success of our farming operations

6.     Have their own experienced working dogs.
