Hybrid Driver & ED / ITAD Technician – Join a National Leader in Secure Recycling

Shred-X, part of the Freightways Ltd group, is a market leader in secure destruction, e-waste recycling, and sustainable solutions across Australia. We're on the lookout for a motivated and reliable Hybrid Driver & ED / ITAD Technician to join our team.

Based out of our Wetherill Park branch, you'll play a crucial dual role—on the road servicing clients and in the warehouse processing e-waste and IT assets. Every day, your work supports safe, compliant, and efficient operations while protecting people, data, and the planet.

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate company vehicles to complete scheduled collection and delivery runs
  • Perform technical ED/ITAD tasks such as:
  • Sorting and dismantling e-waste
  • Data-wiping and testing IT assets (laptops, PCs, servers)
  • Refurbishing usable hardware and installing operating systems
  • Record all asset and service information using ERP systems
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete safety checks
  • Assist warehouse and processing teams when not driving
  • Support multiple business units as required (e.g. clinical waste, hygiene, product destruction)
  • Represent Shred-X professionally in all client-facing interactions

What You Bring

  • A current and valid MR Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Forklift licence (preferred or willing to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a driving, warehouse, or processing role
  • Comfort working with tools, basic IT systems, and physical tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • A team-first attitude, great communication skills, and a customer service mindset
