About our Company:

San Remo is a market leader in pasta and food manufacturing providing high quality food products to domestic and overseas customers. Wholly South Australian owned and with multiple manufacturing sites around Australia, our DRY CREEK facility seeks an experienced Packing Machine Operator to join the team on a full time basis.

About the role:

We are looking for a Packing Machine Operatorto join our operations and become a strong part of our Production department. Learning from the experienced team, you will become familiar with the operation of food manufacturing equipment and hand packing/stacking of finished products.

Reporting to the Production Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up and operate several machines and associated equipment with minimal supervision.

  • Perform general factory duties, housekeeping, and cleaning, including:

  • Hand packing/stacking of finished product

  • Manual handling
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor maintenance issues on various machines when required.
  • Take accountability for product quality through monitoring of product and taking appropriate action on non-conforming products, including the recording of production/packaging data.
  • Perform forklift duties (if required).
  • Assist in lower level training.

About you:

A successful candidate would have a combination of the following:

  • Proven experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Have a basic understanding of GMP and HACCP.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A forklift license would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience operating Food Manufacturing Packaging Machines.
