The position:

The Medical Education Registrar at the Royal Children's Hospital will work closely with the Medical Education Team in developing and designing education programs for junior medical staff at the hospital. This is a great opportunity to futher develop clinical education skills and understanding of the training required for developing clinicians in their area of expertise.

The Medical Education team develop and oversee organisational orientation arrangements and targeted educational opportunities for all junior medical staff (JMS). Formalised orientation sessions ensure that all JMS have the necessary training and support to safely and effectively commence work at the RCH, with the two largest cohorts being February and August each year. Ongoing JMS education programs are conducted throughout the clinical training year, including weekly teaching for junior resident medical officers (JRMOs), a podcast series for registrars, skills training and clinical simulation.

  • Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain
  • Compliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure
  • All International Medical Graduate applicants will need to meet the AHPRA English Language requirements
