St Patrick is a co-educational primary school with an enrolment of over 340 students. • Work hours: 38.00 hours per week
• Salary: Services Staff Level 1 - $31.17/Hour + super 
• Status: Term Time | Fixed-Term (Contract until August, 2026)

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Removal of rubbish and debris from garden and grounds areas including the emptying of bins and disposing of waste material to maintain a clean, tidy, and litter-free school building and grounds environment
• Routinely maintaining and/or repairing reticulation and irrigation systems, under supervision
• Safely operate and maintain small machinery and plant, as required, considering the risk to self and others
• Assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up of greens, top dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging
• Assisting in the preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals in the preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals including but not limited to moving equipment to and from venues. 
• Perform basic maintenance duties throughout the school
• Clean up of spills and accidents during the school day
• Ability to assist in ordering and purchasing materials required for maintenance 

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: 

• A safety mindset being aware of risks, following safety protocols, using PPE, and ensuring the safety of yourself and others while maintaining the grounds and equipment
• Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery including but not limited to lawn mower, trimmer, hedger and pressure cleaner 
• Experience assisting in the upkeep of playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing under supervision
• Capability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals

• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
