dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple
continents and conditions.

The Position

We are currently seeking applications from experienced
electricians to fill Underground Shift Electrician
positions for our South Australian Operations.

What we are looking for

  • Experienced Underground
    Shift Electricians (hard rock mining)
  • South Australian
    electrical workers licence or ability to obtain one
  • Manual drivers? licence
  • Current Senior First
    Aid/CPR & Low Voltage Rescue certificates
  • Sound knowledge of
    AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
  • High Voltage switching
    ticket highly regarded
  • Exposure to Sandvik
    underground mobile equipment highly regarded
  • The successful
    candidate will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria including a
    full Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening prior to an Offer of
    Employment being made

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor your duties will
include (but are not limited to)

  • Carrying out electrical
    installations on electrical systems up to 1000V AC
  • Performing scheduled
    maintenance, statutory testing and inspections
  • Perform breakdowns on
    mobile and fixed plant equipment
  • 1000V mobile equipment
    servicing, including Battery Electrical Vehicle (BEV) mobile equipment
  • Installing and
    maintaining underground electrical and communication reticulation systems
