The opportunity
We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Cyber Security Consultant to join our expanding team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with technology and business stakeholders to ensure systems are designed and implemented with security at the forefront. You'll play a key part in identifying and managing risks, ensuring compliance with established processes, standards, and best practices.
Your new role
A day in this role may look a bit like this;
Conducting 'Secure By Design' assessments to align risks with business risk appetite.
Providing technical security advice, solutioning, and assurance in line with industry best practices.
Taking personal accountability for identifying and mitigating technical or business security weaknesses.
Building strong relationships with divisional business and project stakeholders, proactively identifying issues, and improving security consultancy services for divisional and global projects.
Works closely with the broader cyber security team and other teams to identify opportunities for strategic security solutions.
Takes ownership of problems and proactively resolves technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements. Takes full accountability for actions taken and decisions made
Works with our extended consulting team to review security related service now requests and complex problems
Contribute to a positive environment by modelling cultural expectations, continuous improvement, collaboration and embrace 'can do' attitude
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have experience within the Cyber and IT industry, with previous security consulting experience highly regarded. You will also have:
Demonstrated ability to assess security risks and think like an adversary to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Strong technical expertise with the ability to apply solutions effectively in a business context.
A curious, analytical mindset with agility to adapt to fast-paced and evolving business needs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
Solid understanding of security and risk frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, NIST800, PCI-DSS) and related technologies.
