The Opportunity:

Do you have a skillset in Project Finance & Controls and looking to contribute your expertise to complex, large-scale projects? We are building a merit pool of talented professionals to fill future vacancies across our defence business.

As a Project Finance & Controls Specialist, you will be central to maintaining project success through effective financial management, cost control, scheduling, and risk management. You'll partner closely with project managers and cross-functional teams, providing analysis, insight, and solutions to keep projects on track and delivering outcomes that matter.

We are seeking this skillset across various levels of experience, so whether you're early in your career or bring senior expertise, we'd like to hear from you.

These positions can be based in any of the following locations:

  • Melbourne
  • Canberra
  • Sydney
  • Brisbane
  • Adelaide

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Control - budgeting, expenditure tracking, cost forecasting, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Project Financials - managing workforce plans, timesheets, monthly accruals, financial reporting, and bid estimation support.
  • Document Control - ensuring accurate, compliant, and accessible project records.
  • Reporting & Analysis - delivering project status reports, performance analysis, and change management support.
  • Collaboration & Improvement - engaging with stakeholders, identifying issues, and driving continuous improvement in project finance and controls.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in project finance, project accounting, or project controls, ideally within Defence or a complex industry.
  • Proven expertise in EACs (Estimate at Completion) and strong financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and well-developed communication and time management skills.
  • A detail-oriented, analytical approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A current or eligibility to obtain AGSVA security clearance (mandatory)
