As a
Personal Banking Advisor
, you'll be at the heart of our branch network, engaging with our business and retail customers in-person and over the phone, holding meaningful conversations to uncover their needs and providing them with tailored banking solutions. You will assist our customers with other requirements such as identity verification, cash access through our Smart ATMs, personal and business lending and fraud and scam support. This is a rewarding role which will see your dedication and expertise empower customers to make the most of their money, each and every day

This is a full-time, branch-based role and the hours are across and inclusive of Monday to Friday. Our Smithton Regional Service Centre opens in early 2026, with training starting October 2025 at our Westpac branch in Burnie, TAS.
What do I need?

  • Customer service and sales experience, ideally in a customer-facing / phone-based role with experience of working to targets
  • Resilience, with an ability to remain calm and composed whilst managing challenging situations
  • Comfortable in working towards sales / referral targets and calling customers over the phone
  • Numerical capability, ideally with proficiency in cash handling and counting, with ability to complete financial transactions with accuracy
  • An energetic personality coupled with a genuine passion for helping people
  • The will to learn and adapt to new banking procedures and technologies
