About The System Administrator Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our Technology and Cyber Security team. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager this position will work across SGCH offices and locations as required.
As a Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The Systems Administrator ensures IT systems are available, secure, reliable, and optimised to support SGCH's operations and strategic initiatives. The role also manages cloud and on-premises infrastructure, administers cybersecurity platforms, provides Tier 2/3 support, and leads technology projects to improve system performance and resilience.
To succeed as a Systems Administrator, you will be a strong planner, have high attention to detail, a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and efficient IT services.
About You (essential Requirements)
To succeed in the role, you will have the below key attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in systems administration or infrastructure support, including Windows server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), Microsoft 365, asset management tools (e.g. Intune, ManageEngine), and virtualisation technologies.
- Strong customer service focus with demonstrated organisational, project management, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work with business acumen and a social heart and balance strategic SGCH goals with day-to-day operational needs, and the self-motivation, compassion and resilience to continuously improve and drive the delivery of best outcomes for SGCH and its customers.
