The Cloud FinOps Consultant role will drive the adoption and execution of FinOps best practices, enabling customers to achieve financial accountability in their cloud environments. The successful candidate will lead initiatives in cloud cost optimisation, budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration across technical and business teams to deliver value through actionable insights and continuous improvement. This role is critical in fostering a culture of financial transparency, supporting decision-making, maximising the return on cloud investments, and aligning cloud benefits with organisational goals.

You will collaborate with various teams to identify opportunities to reduce cloud spend, manage budget, forecast cloud usage, and implement cost-saving measures and best practices to ensure repeat occurrences are mitigated.

The position will act as a FinOps ambassador and you will work across multiple customers to help review existing maturity levels, as well as help implement recommendations to increase maturity levels. The successful incumbent will have a passion for technology, how Cloud interacts with business, and a real-life understanding and relatable standpoint of the financial implications to the Cloud industry.

· Design and implement FinOps frameworks to align cloud spending with business objectives.

· Monitor and analyse cloud usage and costs across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.

· Identify and implement cloud cost optimisation strategies, including rightsizing and commitments.

· Manage cloud budgets, forecasting usage trends, and tracking variances.

· Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to drive cost accountability.

· Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards to communicate cost insights.

· Educate stakeholders on cloud cost impacts and promote a culture of financial transparency.

· Stay updated on cloud pricing changes, emerging tools, and FinOps best practices.

· Engage with customers to address FinOps challenges and support their Cloud Financial Management goals.

· Travel occasionally to meet with customers and strengthen relationships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year
