Defects Rectification Carpenter

Summary:

Interested in working direct for a developer builder? We are seeking a skilled Defects Rectification Carpenter to join our team carrying out rectification works on our recetly completed luxury apartment complex at Hope Island. This is a hands on role where you will be responsible for rectifying defects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in craftsmanship.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Attend to punch list of defect items (typical items: door alignment, architrave gaps, cabinet adjustments, minor plaster touch-ups, silicone re-seal, hardware replacement).

• Re-hang or plane internal doors, replace hinges/latches, adjust soft closes.

• Patch and paint small areas to match existing finishes.

• Replace damaged trim, skirtings, or shelving using pre-approved materials.

• Minor plumbing (replace tap washers, re-seat toilets) and electrical (swap GPOs, tighten light fittings) only where trade-licensed or under direct supervision.

• Maintain and update defect register log.

• Liaise politely with residents during booked access windows.

Must Haves:

• Trade-qualified carpenter or 5+ years proven all-trades handyman experience in high-end residential fit-out / defects.

• White Card, own power & battery tools.

• Current police check (or willing to obtain).

• Driver's licence + reliable vehicle.

• Eye for detail that spots a 1 mm gap at 3 metres.

• Calm, courteous manner when entering occupied luxury apartments.

Remuneration:

We are flexible and negotiable on remuneration to attract the right person.
