The opportunity

Physiocrest Pty Ltd, a leading mobile service provider of Allied Health and rehabilitation services, is seeking a talented Occupational Therapist to join our team on a contract basis. This role will be based in Bankstown, NSW 2200, and surrounding to it's areas and will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional care to our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify Adult and Paediatric clients' rehabilitation needs and develop individualised treatment plans
  • Implement a range of occupational therapy interventions to help clients improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and Speech Therapists, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to client care
  • Provide client and family education on the rehabilitation process and strategies for managing daily activities
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy, with minimum 6 months of experince.
  • Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrated experience in providing occupational therapy services in a rehabilitation or community-based setting
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment and support plans for Allied Health Assistants to follow up.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Proficient in the use of relevant assessment tools and outcome measures
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices in occupational therapy
