ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Educator, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of engaging learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years (Nursery to Kindergarten). You will work closely with a team of like-minded educators.
We currently have 2 permanent, full time positions available
Float - all ages
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups.
- Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes for qualified staff.
- Set up, facilitate, and clean down after our play-based activities.
- Create a friendly, stimulating and interactive learning environment.
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children and families.
- Develop trusting and honest relationships with children, families, colleagues, management and community stakeholders.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Hold a recognised Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (complete or in progress)
- Hold or be willing to obtain Blue Card.
- Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
- Previous experience in understanding the needs of children with additional needs .
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Protection laws
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development and well-being.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility in relation to working hours (6am - 6.30pm).
- Experience with Childcare and Xplor and Playground would be highly regarded.
