The Finance and Corporate Services Directorate is seeking a Financial Systems and Compliance Officer to join their team at the Adelaide office on a full-time term basis.

The role is responsible for:

  • Managing the preparation and review of documents, briefings and business cases related to the directorate's administrative activities.
  • Coordinating the delivery of timely and cost-effective fleet management functions for the department.
  • Overseeing departmental financial transactions, reporting and accounts management, providing expert advice on systems and processes.
  • Providing a range of accounting and financial management policy development and advisory services.
  • Managing financial business services for the department including liaising with staff to identify new or existing service delivery requirements and issues.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Knowledge in mentoring staff including providing leadership to support service delivery whilst maintaining a high level of financial accountability.
  • Experience in coordinating and supervising the delivery of business and financial management services.
  • Proficiency in effective communication including providing expert advice and reports, conducting successful negotiations and resolving conflict.
  • Knowledge of government financial policies and advanced IT skills, particularly in data management, reporting systems and Excel.
  • Expertise in delivering positive outcomes by applying competence, initiative, and sound judgment whilst identifying improvements, solving problems and meeting deadlines.
