Financial Accountant Position Overview

The role of a Financial Accountant involves managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting System Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records by maintaining and updating accounting systems.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Support: Provide support for regulatory requirements, including tax returns, audit coordination, and statutory reporting.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flows to ensure that the company has sufficient funds to meet its financial obligations.
  • Systems and Process Tools: Utilize various software tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and other accounting software, to manage financial data and automate financial processes.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualification: CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, audit coordination, and compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger ownership, and control environments.
  • Systems: Proficient in using ERP systems, Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Mindset: Self-starter, adaptable, and solution-focused individual who can manage shifting priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, able to operate across finance, operations, and group teams with clarity and confidence.
