AINs at Nepean Hospital are an integral part of our ICU team. Whether you're experienced in Acute Care or eager to gain exposure in a high-acuity setting, this is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

This is a hands on role which will see you supporting Registered Nurses and ICU staff with patient care and clinical tasks, assisting patients with personal care, repositioning, hygiene, mobility needs and observing and reporting changes in patient condition to nursing staff. What you will bring to the role:

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or currently enrolled in an undergraduate nursing/midwifery program and successfully completed the first semester of 2nd year.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
• Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide a person centred approach to patient care.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and use appropriate problem-solving skills when performing tasks.
• Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment.
