Assistant in Nursing- Aged Care

**The Opportunity**

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide the support that considers the resident's physical, spiritual, social and cultural needs and enables residents to maintain their well-being and independence for as long as possible. You will be responsible for delivering care and services to residents in all areas of activities of daily living by the resident's identified needs and preferences.

Reporting to the Registered Nurse is significant, as being a vital team member. Some of the critical responsibilities of the role are:

- Supporting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and hygiene
- Supporting and assisting residents with food and fluids as required
- Assisting the nursing staff with treatments as directed
- Assisting the nursing staff by observing and reporting any changes in the condition or well-being of residents promptly.
- Assisting residents with recreational activities with direction from the Lifestyle Team

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III in Aged Care or completed Aged Care units of Bachelor of Nursing
- Previous experience in a Residential Aged Care Facility essential
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Must possess valid working rights
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current Covid-19 Vaccination
