About the role
Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Specialist will provide technical support to the Reliability, Operations, and Maintenance teams. This two-year secondment is a hands-on role focused on maintaining compliance, updating electrical drawings, and supporting electrical reliability initiatives across site. You will work closely with senior engineers, gaining exposure to investigations, control systems, and power modelling, while playing a key part in ensuring safe and reliable operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Verifying in-field installations against electrical drawings and updating as required
Redlining, marking up, and managing electrical drawing changes through formal processes
Supporting electrical statutory compliance and reliability initiatives
Assisting senior engineers with investigations, monitoring, and data gathering
Contributing to the maintenance of the Site Power Model and other electrical systems
Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams to drive improvements
About you
The ideal candidate will hold an Electrical Trade Certificate or Electrical Engineering degree, along with a current driver's licence and Low Voltage Rescue/CPR qualifications. You will bring practical experience in mining or heavy industry, with strong knowledge of electrical protection systems, reticulation (HV/LV), industrial schematics, and control systems.
You are detail-focused, proactive, and able to work with autonomy while engaging effectively with teams across site. With a strong interest in electrical reliability and compliance, you are ready to take on a role with clear deliverables and strong development potential.
