Position Title: Full-time Accountant

Annual Salary: A$ 73,500 Superannuation

Employment Location: On Premises - Shepparton (WFH not available)

Goulburn Murray Audit Services are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking full-time Accountant for an immediate start.

Duties:

- Preparation of special and general purpose financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards (AASB).

- Review client accounting policies and procedures, in particular those relating revenue recognition and payroll functions.

- Review income tax, gst, payroll, payroll tax, and workcover reconciliations

- Prepare and interpret financial analytical reviews, projections, and identify financial risks.

- Develop, implement, and keep updated all financial policies and procedures including internal control procedures.

- Providing assurance about the accuracy of the information contained in financial reports.

Skills and Experience:

- Degree enabling membership of CA or CPA

- 4 years in accounting or audit roles, with strong accounting skills

- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work well with people at all levels

- Sound computer literacy, keyboard skills, and proficient working knowledge in information technology systems and applications i.e. (Microsoft Office 365, search engines, databases, accounting systems)

- Time management capabilities, prioritising work requirements, and ability to work to meet strict time deadlines

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Working knowledge of Australian Accounting and Audit Standards, ACNC Act, Corporations Act, and other related legislation i.e. Superannuation, Long Service Leave, Trust Accounts

- Strong understanding of financial processes, ability to interpret financial information

- Commitment to quality improvement

- Current driver's license
