Bookkeeping (Accountants Practice)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Bookkeeper (Accountants Practice) to join the team at GPL Partners', a leading accounting practice with offices based in Peakhurst and Gregory Hills, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping services to our diverse client base, supporting the growth and success of our accounting practice.

What you'll be doing

• Managing the full cycle of the bookkeeping process, including data entry, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and GST reporting
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service
• Assisting the accounting team with ad-hoc projects and special requests as needed
• Continuously improving bookkeeping processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within an accounting practice environment
• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounting software (such as MYOB and Xero) and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new software quickly
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and the accounting team
• A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
