We are offering a First Nations Traineeship in a CEWA office or school to work and obtain a qualification in areas such as Administration, Information Technology, Early Childhood Education or School Based Education Support.

The Role

The Trainee position is designed to support First Nations people in gaining experience and knowledge through workplace learning along with formal nationally recognised qualification.

This is a full-time fixed term one year position commencing as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be required to seek to learn the business of their team while undertaking tasks and gaining experience in their chosen field. The successful candidate will also be required to contribute to their team in a meaningful way that ultimately assists the team or school achieve their overall goals.

It is a genuine requirement for this position that the successful candidate be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as per section 50D of the equal opportunity act 1984.

Your Background

  • Completion of Year 12 or equivalent study.
  • Capacity and willingness to study towards (and complete) a Certificate III or IV in the relevant area of interest (example Administration/Information Technology/Education Support)
  • Flexibility and the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Outlook.
  • Commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
