For over 20 years the Lizard Centre has been a leader in Applied Behaviour Analysis and early intervention in Australia. We provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions.

We Are Currently Seeking An Experienced And Passionate Behavioural Therapy Assistant Who Is Available To Work With a Family In Richlands For 2 Weekly Shifts

  • Monday 3:15pm-6:15pm
  • Thursday 3:15pm-6:15pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in varied settings, including home/clinic/school
  • Support clients in developing their skills; communication, social interactions and emotional regulation
  • Collect client data to track progress and identify areas of improvement
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages client participation

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working with children is required (e.g. Behaviour Therapist, Therapy Assistant, Registered Behaviour Technician, Disability Support Worker, Early Childhood Educator/Childcare Worker)
  • Studying or completed a Degree/ Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy or related field (preferred)
  • Experience working with children is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A passion for helping individuals reach their full potential

Requirements

  • Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'
  • Australian Driver's License & Vehicle
  • Laptop/iPad - you will be using your own device on shift
