About Bialik College
Bialik College is a pluralist Jewish school, embracing an inclusive approach to Judaism. All students attend one campus in Hawthorn, creating a close-knit community of students and learners from as young as three months old in our Children's Centre, three years old in the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12 in the Senior School. The Position
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Primary Teacher to deliver high quality education, and oversee curriculum, planning and assessment of students.
The successful candidate will work full-time, commencing in Term 1, 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Base teaching on best theoretical and practical knowledge and knowledge of each student's development, skills and interest.
- Identify and cater for individual learner needs, collaborating with other teachers and specialists' staff in the College.
- Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of all students.
- Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children.
- Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum.
- Design lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content.
- Stay informed regarding current trends, teaching practices and curriculum and resource developments by remaining in contact with relevant associations and other professional networks.
Role Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and teaching experience and VIT registration is essential.
- Open to new ideas and a willingness to implement and change.
- Supportive of the College Ethos.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and the broader school community.
