Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is a Level 4 Paediatric Unit with 8 inpatient beds for children and young people till 18 years of age and a 2-bed special care nursery, supporting a level 4 maternity unit with 450 deliveries annually. You will join a workforce of 3 long standing Paediatricians with an increasing level of junior medical staff support. We pride ourselves on our collaborative team work to provide an excellent standard of care for our patients and their families.The clinical work you will be doing requires you to have a broad scope skills from neonatal care ( > 34 weeks' gestation) to inpatient care of children and young people up to 18 years as well as general outpatients, involving complex medical, behavioural and developmental paediatrics The work we do is at times challenging but very rewarding and will allow you to work to the full scope of your practice as a regional general paediatrician.
