We are currently recruiting for an experienced Study Manager to join our team based in Newcastle.

About the role

• Managing existing client relationships to maximise business opportunity for Ausenco.
• Seek out new opportunities through networking, referrals and market research.
• Develop a healthy opportunity pipeline for the base metals, gold and minerals mining market.
• Maintain a consistently high quality of studies output by planning, coordinating, managing resources, technical quality, and study progress.
• Communicate with clients and professional colleagues.
• Formulate effective business cases through bringing together technical knowledge and commercial concepts.
• Comply with all of Ausenco Minerals corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.

About you

• 10-15+ years' experience in the mining industry with strong base metals, gold and minerals processing experience.
• A registered Professional Engineer is desirable.
• Extensive experience in the development, delivery and operation of mining or mineral processing studies and projects.
• Previously worked on a client/owner`s team or been a study manager, area manager, engineering manager or lead engineer on several projects/studies.
• An established contact network within designated market (base metals and minerals) would be a major advantage.
• Excellent written technical and oral communications skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Experience with JORC code and NI43-101 reports would be an asset.
• Willingness to travel when required.
