Oral Health Therapist – Part-Time leading to Full-Time | Warners Bay / Newcastle, NSW

We're now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Oral Health Therapist to join our growing team. This role starts on a permanent part-time basis (2/3 days per week) with a clear pathway into a full-time, 9-day fortnight role.
What We're Looking For
We'd love to welcome someone who brings both clinical expertise and a genuine love for providing excellent care. You'll tick these boxes if you have:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist
- Minimum 3 years working experience
- Demonstrated regular CPD upskilling
- Full Australian working rights
- Working With Children Check and Police Check
- Experience with Invisalign, periodontal therapy & restorative
- A passion for children's dentistry and a talent for making nervous patients feel at ease
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills (your patients should feel seen and heard)
- A flexible, positive, and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced but supportive team environment
What You'll Be Doing
Your days with us will be rewarding, varied, and always patient-centred. You'll:
- Carry out comprehensive oral examinations and create tailored treatment plans for paediatric patients and recall adult check ups.
- Provide preventative care — scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments
- Deliver non-surgical periodontal therapy
- Administer local anaesthetic and assist our dentists with restorative treatments
- Invisalign review and retention
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and encourage them to stay on track with their care
- Help kids (and adults) feel comfortable, safe, and even excited to visit the dentist
- Maintain thorough patient records and ensure compliance with all standards
- Collaborate with our dedicated dental team to create seamless experiences for every patient
Details
- Initial start with a PPT 5-day fortnight - Tuesdays, Fridays and alternate Mondays.
- This will grow into a full time 9-day fortnight role (alternate Tuesdays off)
- Renumeration $55-65/hr
- Work days are 8am-5.15pm (Friday 3.30pm finish)
- Ongoing communication CPD provided and clinical courses covered by negotiation.
