MediCann Clinics is a trusted medical cannabis clinic in Australia, working hard on treating our patients for a variety of health conditions. We pride ourselves on being one of the most reliable, accessible and affordable clinics in Australia and always have the patients best interest in mind.

We are expanding our team to keep up with the growing demand and are looking for Medical Practitioner's (casual, part-time and full-time opportunities are available). So, if you have experience as a Medical Practitioner, and are prepared to go above & beyond for the patients we serve across Australia, we want to hear from you.

This position will allow you to practice from the comfort of your own home via Telehealth and we also have a rooms in Perth for those wanting to do face to face appointments.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Consultations with patients Australia wide via telehealth or Face to Face in Perth.
  • Reviewing patient cases and providing clinical assessments of patient suitability for medicinal cannabis.
  • Working with patients on developing care plans and assisting in setting realistic treatment goals.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records.
  • Explaining the practicalities of medicinal cannabis treatment to patients and answering questions.
  • Communicating with the clinic nurse manager on a daily basis.
  • Educating patients about the recommended use of medications and understanding how it interacts with the endocannabinoid system.

What MediCann Clinics requires from you:

  • Valid registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience and understanding of scripted medications preferred.
  • Experience with prescribing medicinal cannabis is highly preferred.
  • Authorised Prescribers (AP) of medicinal cannabis highly preferred. (If you are not an AP but are already prescribing cannabis, we can assist you to become an AP).
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Compassion
