About the role

As the Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sound financial management and resource allocation across the division. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide professional financial advice, reporting, and education that supports compliance with government and legislative requirements. Your expertise will help shape effective strategies, ensuring financial operations are aligned with organisational policies and objectives.

In this highly valued role, you will contribute to strategic and financial planning processes, delivering accurate financial and statistical insights to inform decision-making. By equipping General Managers, Directors and cost centre managers with the tools and advice they need, you will empower them to monitor budgets effectively and make confident, evidence-based decisions. About You

You are an experienced and motivated professional with strong financial acumen and the ability to provide high-level business management support. With qualifications in accounting, economics or business management (or working towards them), you bring both technical expertise and practical problem-solving skills to the role.

To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications (or progress towards) in accounting, economics or business.
  • Proven experience in financial management, analysis and business support within a large, complex environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • High-level IT proficiency, including financial systems and advanced spreadsheet applications, with the ability to deliver accurate and actionable insights.
