Purpose

Assist with the creation and execution of design assets across Charcoal's marketing, website, and campaigns. This role requires an elevated aesthetic sensibility aligned with Charcoal's values, combined with a commercial mindset to translate design into measurable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Execution

    Create campaign assets for web, email, paid media, socials, and print

    Deliver web graphics, banners, and promotional material optimised for conversion

    Edit and retouch campaign and e-commerce photography to align with Charcoal's visual standards
  • Brand & Aesthetic Alignment

    Maintain strict alignment to Charcoal's brand values, tone, and visual principles

    Develop templates and design systems that scale while preserving aesthetic integrity

    Uphold consistency across all touch points - digital, physical, and experiential
  • Commercial Creativity

    Translate design choices into measurable outcomes (click-through, conversion, engagement)

    Collaborate with CRM, PR, Paid Media, and Social to design creative that drives sales

    Use testing (A/B, variant creative) to link design performance with ROI
  • Collaboration & Workflow

    Partner with creative and marketing leads to concept and execute campaign assets

    Manage deadlines across multiple markets (AU, US) and ensure fast turnaround

    Maintain a library of design assets for efficient global rollout

Requirements

  • 3+ years graphic design experience, preferably in fashion/e-commerce
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong photo editing and retouching skills
  • Portfolio that demonstrates elevated, sophisticated design with commercial focus
  • Understanding of how design impacts customer behaviour and sales performance
  • Ability to balance speed with refinement in a fast-paced environment
