What is headspace - Be You Program

headspace is the implementation partner who works with Beyond Blue to deliver Be You, the national mental health in education initiative.

Be You supports educators from early learning services and schools to develop a positive, inclusive and resilient learning community where every child, young person, educator and family can achieve their best possible mental health.

The initiative has a multidisciplinary team (Clinicians, educators and other professionals) who support school communities nationally.

Tell me about the role

The Be You Team Lead, under direction and leadership of the State/Territory Manager, will guide and support the team in the delivery of the Be You program.

You will provide line management to team members, ensure deliverables are met and support the capacity building of the team to support suicide postvention.

Who are we looking for?

headspace Be You are seeking an individual who is/has:

  • Tertiary qualified in either mental health/ education and training, or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of school environments
  • An experienced leader with previous line management experience
  • Experience delivering mental health initiatives in education settings
  • A strong communicator and brings excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Able to balance competing organisation and people priorities
  • Able to foster a positive, collaborative team culture
  • Able to travel both within NSW/ACT and interstate
