Basetec is seeking a driven and hands-on Minor Works Coordinator (Site) to join our Adelaide-based operations team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to take ownership of Basetec's minor site works division, acting as the key link between clients, site crews, and management.

The role will be based out of Adelaide, however, around 50% of your time will be spent on the road travelling between existing sites and potential job fronts. This mix of office and field-based work makes the position ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be directly involved in both planning and delivery.

Unlike major projects delivered under a project coordinator, minor site works are typically shorter duration, ad-hoc, and varied. This role is designed for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working closely with clients and site teams, and has the skills to develop and grow a division against clear budgets and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and execution staff regarding minor site works.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate site works, ensuring safety, quality, and client expectations are met.
  • Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and risk assessments.
  • Manage invoicing, reporting, and accurate project cost tracking.
  • Oversee the availability, suitability, and compliance of tooling and vehicles, including safety checks and ensuring all equipment is fit-for-purpose.
  • Communicate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors regarding site progress, unforeseen issues, and/or delays.
  • Ensure all safety incidents are reported promptly.
  • Conduct site visits for potential works to assess access, resourcing, scope and constructability.
  • Prepare basic field notes, sketches, or photos to assist estimators with scoping and pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for additional works or repeat business during job delivery.
  • Allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Provide leadership and direction to site staff, fostering a positive and safe workplace culture.

Skills & Experience

  • A trade background or proven experience in fibreglass, epoxy, or related industrial work is essential.
  • Computer knowledge is essential, including competency with Microsoft Excel for reporting.
  • Experience in rostering staff and scheduling resources.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of WHS practices, with experience in developing JSAs or similar safety documentation.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate field staff effectively.
