Job Title: Tractor Operator / Grounds Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to join our team for a seasonal contract role, with potential for ongoing work.

About the Role:

This position involves using a mobile app to locate designated properties and operating a tractor with a slasher attachment to cut grass on residential, Shire, and broad acre properties. After each job, whipper snippering (line trimming) is required to ensure all areas are neatly finished.

Some general maintenance duties are also part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor (air-conditioned cabs) with slasher to maintain various properties
  • Use whipper snipper to tidy up after slashing
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
  • Follow property location instructions via mobile app
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Contract Period:

October to mid-December/January, with the possibility of ongoing work.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in farming, machinery operation, grounds maintenance, or similar roles
  • Basic mechanical repair skills (highly regarded)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

Requirements:

  • Current driver's licence
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Reliable and punctual

This role is well-suited to ex-farmers, mechanics, or individuals with experience in similar hands-on, outdoor roles.
