The Role
The Multicultural Australia Contracts team exists to ensure that the organisation maintains, exceeds and reports its contractual obligations to the funding body. This includes Key Performance Indicators, Service Level Standards, milestones, internal and external audits, claims and payments and management of subcontracting service providers. The MA Contracts team uses Business Intelligence solutions to track internal data to provide foresight and guidance for the organisation to respond to emerging themes and trends within the program.
This is a full-time fixed term till 30 June 2026 position based in Brisbane.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure all contract performance indicators, milestones and standards are achieved within budget and reported as per organisational and contractual requirements;
- Report on program delivery against contractual targets as well as emerging and urgent issues and future trends;
- Develop, implement and review Multicultural Australia policies and procedures in relation to the program and relevant operational and funding requirements;
- Provide accurate reports in relation to the key performance indicators and client demographics to the relevant senior leaders, internal programs, subcontractors and Funding Bodies;
- Ensure all service delivery and invoicing payments have been met as per the funding agreements;
- Work in collaboration with the relevant Executive to ensure overall quality of service and that contractual obligations as described above are all met;
- Maintain effective collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective planning and coordination of client services, including primary relationship management of funding body contract managers and subcontracting leads;
- Internal oversight and liaison with all teams to ensure contract compliance;
- Maintaining strict oversight of subcontracts ensuring all KPIs, milestones, standards, contractual compliance and reports are met in conjunction with quality service provision.
- Primary responsibility for communication between funding body direction and Service Providers;
- Oversight of Certificates of Currency, Probity, system access, qualifications and BlueCards.
- Responsibility for HSP contractual reporting including limited to 6 month reports and Business Plans;
- Management of Internal and External Audits facilitation;
- Management of HSP funding body payment reconciliation and outgoing payment reconciliation to subcontractors;
- Management of Multicultural Australia HSP system claims;
- Lead and mentor a high performing Client Services team in the delivery of quality contract management;
- Represent Multicultural Australia at various levels of the community and government sectors when necessary or as directed by the Executive Management Team;
- Participation in after-hours emergency roster and out of hours work when required (such as airport pick up);
- Liaise with key parties regarding all internal and external audit process.
- Lead, with direct support from Contracts Director, Transition In and Transition Out contractual processes and responsibilities for contracts ceasing, extending or commencing within scope of the contracts team.
Qualifications and Skills required:
- Possession of tertiary qualifications in -the field of human services, psychology, occupational therapy or management/operations – overseas qualifications will be recognised;
- Demonstrated experience in managing contract compliance, program quality assurance and funding agency reporting;
- Demonstrated commitment to child, youth, and family-centred practice in an asylum seeker and refugee context including knowledge of current practice, policies and trends;
- Demonstrated leadership, competence and experience in the provision of professional supervision and performance management of case managers/team leaders;
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, to work collaboratively, and establish and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders; - more here.
- Highly developed skills in meeting deadlines with competing priorities and well-developed problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated values of integrity, resilience, teamwork and professionalism consistent with Multicultural Australia's vision, including outstanding cross-cultural communication skills
- National Police Clearance Check.
- Possession of, or willingness and eligibility to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Suitability Card in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000).
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a not-for-profit environment would be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and experience working with databases
