Teaching Positions – Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Mullewa

Our Lady of Mt Carmel is seeking classroom teachers for These will be full-time positions, both temporary and ongoing with the very strong possibility of on-going employment for the positions. These positions would be a great opportunity for graduate teachers, those on a Limited Registration or experienced teachers looking for a rural experience.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a thriving rural school and caters for approximately 40 students from Kindergarten to Year Six, with three composite classes, along with small class sizes. The school uses trauma informed practices to support student needs. The school is well-resourced with a 1:1 iPad program, Apple TV's and BenQ Boards in each classroom. All teachers new to the school are supported by a very experienced and caring staff.
As we are situated in the Mid-West region, 96km from the City of Geraldton, benefits include:

Selection Criteria
· Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
· An ability to demonstrate sound classroom management skills based on restorative and supportive practices
· An ability to work with a wide variety of ability levels within the one class and a desire to assist each student to achieve their potential
· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others across the school community
· A sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum
Qualifications required:
· A willingness to complete Accreditation requirements as specified by Catholic Education WA
· Relevant university degree in Education or equivalent
· Registration confirmation from Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia - please conduct this process online via: TRBWA - note: candidates with teacher registration in a different Australian State (other than WA) may apply stating their NT, QLD, SA, NSW, VIC or TAS registration details, should you be successful in securing a position. CEWA will guide you on how to register for mutual recognition with the TRBWA.
