Base Salary $89,831 - $109,263 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
This position is targeted for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, under the provisions of section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).' Your work will not only add to the research landscape but also make a real difference in the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Conduct independent and collaborative research to contribute to knowledge in your area of expertise.
Develop and strengthen research skills under supervision of senior academic staff, with growing autonomy.
Deliver high-quality research activities and outputs that meet standards of excellence.
Support the Centre's operations through administration, meetings, and informal student guidance where appropriate.
Contribute to a positive workplace culture that values diversity, respect, collaboration, and outcomes.
Align your work with the Centre and University's strategic direction to advance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
About you
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with equivalent combination of training and experience.
A strong interest in health, with a passion for contributing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.
An understanding of guidelines and principles for undertaking research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
Experience in conducting research or scholarly activity, ideally in a health setting or related discipline such as psychology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research and engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain respectful and effective relationships with researchers, collaborators, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Work Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
