About the Role

North Geelong Medical Clinic is looking for a vibrant and committed Registered Nurse to join our nursing team. We are a private general practice with a strong commitment to community health and wellbeing. The role is 3 days per week, with the possibility of increasing hours in the future. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with no evenings, weekends, or public holidays. As part of this team, you will be integral to the running of a busy treatment room. Our GPs have a diverse range of skills which assists us in catering to client needs and we welcome a similar skill set in our nursing staff.

Care delivery includes [but not limited to]:

  • Acute and chronic wound management
  • Child and adult immunisations
  • Chronic Disease Management and care planning
  • Minor procedures
  • Preventative health strategies
  • Spirometry

Candidate attributes:

  • Registered Nurse with general practice experience
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Flexibility with availability

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience in childhood vaccinations and the National Immunisation Program
  • Familiarity with the accreditation standards for General Practice [RACGP standards]
  • Experience in Chronic Disease Care planning
  • Commitment to community health and preventative health strategies
  • Experience with Best Practice Software
  • Experience in Aged Care settings
  • Commitment to Quality Improvement
