We're Hiring: Enrolled Nurse / Medical Receptionist (2 Days/Week)

South Yarra Clinic – South Yarra, VIC

Part-Time | Mondays & Tuesdays | Extra Shifts Available

Are you an experienced Enrolled Nurse with strong administrative skills and a passion for patient care? South Yarra Clinic is seeking a dedicated and personable team member to join our supportive general practice 2 days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays), with the flexibility to cover additional shifts during staff leave, illness, or periods of high demand.

This dual role combines both clinical nursing and medical reception duties—ideal for a multi-skilled healthcare professional who enjoys variety, teamwork, and patient-centred care.

Your Role: Key Responsibilities

Nursing Duties

  • Prepare patients for clinical consultations and assist GPs with procedures.
  • Administer immunisations, perform wound care and ECGs (within scope).
  • Maintain vaccine cold chain and manage immunisation records.
  • Conduct care plans and health assessments under GP direction.
  • Perform infection control procedures and sterilise instruments.
  • Manage clinical stock and maintain treatment rooms.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient clinical records.

Reception/Administrative Duties

  • Welcome patients and manage front desk operations in a professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage phone/email enquiries.
  • Process Medicare, DVA and EFTPOS billings.
  • Scan, file, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Manage patient recalls and reminders in line with practice protocols.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff & the Practice Manager as needed.

About You
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed preferred).
  • Previous experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings.
  • Experience using Best Practice software is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Holds current professional indemnity insurance (required).
  • Must have permanent working rights in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, or appropriate visa holder).
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in healthcare.
