The Position
- Assisting the Retail Manager with day-to-day operations across our outlets with the main focus on the well renowned Garden Restaurant
- Assist in coordinating the front of house team's daily operations
- Lead the team to deliver exceptional, prompt and friendly service
- Lead from the front, mentor and train the team, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment
- Optimise team members rostered to increase revenue and productivity
- Address any guest feedback in a timely manner to ensure everyone has the best experience possible
- Consistently follow safety guidelines when performing tasks or using equipment reporting all hazards, near misses or accidents to appropriate personnel
The Person
- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar restaurant/retail environment
- Experienced as a Host in a similar environment
- Experience leading a team, identify opportunities for improvement, train and develop staff
- Good knowledge of Melbourne food and beverage scene
- Excellent communication skills, ability to confidently lead team briefing sessions with up to 12 team members
- Experience with an online booking system, ensuring table and coordinating guests
- Well-groomed and professional in appearance with attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and "can do" attitude
- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
