About the role

Electra Civil P/L is seeking a full-time VEDN Civil Worker - Operator/Leading Hand/Labourer- Pole to Pit Works to join our team in the Eastern suburbs. As a VEDN Civil Worker, you will play a key role in supporting our civil construction projects, with a focus on pole to pit works.

What you'll be doing

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities
  • The installation of pits, conduits, and other civil infrastructure as required
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with the wider construction team to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

  • Experience & VEDN accredited in civil construction or a related field, particularly in pole to pit works
  • VEDN Civil accreditation is required for this position
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in pole to pit works is essential
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and the ability to follow established procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on-site
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and perform manual tasks
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate relevant construction equipment
  • Candidates must be qualified and competent to operate excavator equipment
