We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Infrastructure Administrator to join our Sydney-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a broad technology stack, contribute to strategic projects, and help shape the future of IT infrastructure at RSM.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our IT infrastructure. You'll be involved in everything from day-to-day operations to long-term planning and project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure across servers, networks, and security platforms
• Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement
• Leading infrastructure upgrades and enhancements
• Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues
• Driving infrastructure and security projects from planning through to implementation
• Managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
• Supporting vulnerability management and patching activities
• Contributing to IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives
• Collaborating with vendors and assisting with contract management
• Mentoring junior team members and promoting a culture of continuous learning

What we're looking for

We're after someone who is technically strong, solutions-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes. You'll bring:

• A degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Industry certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA); Azure certifications highly regarded
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar infrastructure or systems administration role
• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud technologies, and security best practices
• Hands-on experience with Azure, M365, VMware, Veeam, Palo Alto, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Sentinel, and SD-WAN
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Shell)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• A proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused mindset
