About the role:

  • Oversee a varied caseload of complex professional indemnity, financial lines and construction claims.
  • Deliver pragmatic, strategic coverage and liability advice to both local and London market insurers.
  • Lead and run matters independently - from pleadings and mediation through to court appearances and settlements.
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers while collaborating closely with partners on significant disputes.
  • Play an active role in business development and relationship management with key insurer clients.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience, ideally with a focus on professional indemnity, financial lines or construction claims.
  • Strong technical expertise in insurance litigation and coverage advice.
  • Confident managing files end-to-end, with excellent drafting and client relationship skills.
  • Committed to mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Highly organised, commercially minded and adaptable to a dynamic, high-performing environment.
