Eilbeck Cranes is a 100% Australian owned company operating for 115 years specializing in the design, manufacturing and Installation of all types of Overhead Cranes, Hoists & Winches.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Eilbeck Cranes Moss Vale is seeking a Leading hand to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Machinery department.

Responsibilities

Technical & Fabrication:

·Fabricate, cut, shape, and assemble metal components and structures according to blueprints, sketches, and specifications.

·Have understanding of various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, SAW) to join materials for diverse projects.

·Operate and maintain a range of tools, machinery, and welding equipment.

Leadership & Management:

·Lead and direct the team of boilermakers and welders, delegating tasks and providing support to ensure efficient work execution.

·Coordinate daily operations, manage material and equipment resources, and liaise with supervisors on production needs.

·Serve as a primary point of contact, acting as a mediator between management and the workforce.

·Address problems that arise during the fabrication and welding process to ensure smooth operations.

Safety & Compliance:

·Ensure team compliance with all OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) requirements and company policies.

·Conduct safety and hazard assessments for the work area and tasks.

·Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.

Quality & Efficiency:

·Monitor the overall quality of the fabrication and welding process to maintain high standards.

·Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues and improve processes for greater efficiency and profit.

· Ensure that the team's contributions are high and conducted in safe conditions.
