About the Role
The purpose of the Employment Services Trainer position is to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality training and resource development across the IEA program and associated contracts. This role is designed to drive best practice, maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and support continuous service improvement through collaboration and proactive stakeholder engagement.
By developing and maintaining comprehensive resource libraries, creating onboarding and standard operating documentation, and delivering training through various platforms and formats, the Trainer empowers service delivery teams to meet key performance indicators and achieve organisational objectives in alignment with the IEA DEED, guidelines and SSI's Service Delivery Model.
The function emphasises adaptability, ongoing evaluation, and feedback-driven refinement of training and resources, ensuring relevance and accessibility for diverse audiences.
Additionally, the Trainer works closely with senior management and operational teams to align training initiatives with strategic goals, enhance workforce capability, and promote a culture of ongoing learning and process optimisation.
This position is integral to fostering consistency, quality, and innovation in employment services, ultimately strengthening the effectiveness and reputation of the IEA program and its contracts.

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in human services, community services, quality assurance, adult learning/education, training or other related qualifications.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment required
- Demonstrated experience in identifying learning needs and developing training schedules.
- Completion or ongoing pursuit of accredited qualifications such as Certificate IV or higher in relevant fields or similar recognised training certifications.
- Professional development in adult education, learning and development, or related areas is highly regarded.
Desirable Experience
- Proven experience in compliance management, ensuring training aligns with deed and SDM requirements through regular audits and thorough documentation.
- Skilled in identifying learning needs and developing tailored training schedules to meet organisational objectives.
- Experienced in designing, delivering, and evaluating training content for both face-to-face and remote platforms.
- Strong background in coaching and mentoring staff, fostering a supportive and continuous learning culture.
- Demonstrated ability to engage staff and stakeholders to ensure training is relevant and impactful.
- Consistently achieves quality assurance targets and meets contractual KPIs.
- Familiar with DES employment program contractual quality standards and KPI requirements (or similar).
- Ability and willingness to travel to deliver in-person training across various locations.
