Hollimans Rural Mitre 10 is a long-established, locally owned business supplying the Charters Towers region with everything from hardware and building materials through to rural merchandise, animal health, chemicals, and water solutions via our Viper brand.

We're seeking a motivated and customer-focused Rural Merchandise Salesperson to join our rural department and support the continued growth of our wider business.

Reporting to the Rural Department Manager, this role is all about delivering outstanding service to our customers, supporting their on-farm needs, and driving sales across our rural merchandise and water categories.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Selling and promoting rural merchandise products (animal health, ag chem, seed, fencing, general farm supplies) and water/irrigation solutions (pumps, tanks, poly pipe).
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local producers and providing practical, product-based advice.
• Assisting with stock control, merchandising, and in-store presentation.
• Supporting retail sales growth through excellent customer service and follow-up.
• Working with the broader Hollimans team (hardware, building, and water) to provide complete solutions for customers.
• Keeping up to date with seasonal trends, product knowledge, and industry needs to better serve the local agricultural community.

• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in rural merchandise, agribusiness, or related sales.
• Knowledge across categories such as animal health, water/irrigation, and agricultural chemicals or willing to learn.
• Strong customer service and sales skills with a genuine ability to build long-term relationships.
• Forklift license and HR license desirable.
• Australian work authorisation required.
