FIFO (6 weeks on 2 weeks off) Assistant In Nursing (AIN)

About the role

We are seeking fabulous, passionate and caring Assistant in Nurses (Carer) who is or willing to be trained to become medication administration competent to come and join our team at Spinifex Health Service in Australia's most remote Aboriginal township in remote Western Australia, Tjuntjuntjara.

What you'll be doing


• Assisting with the administration of medication to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse


• Providing personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities


• Meal preparation, cooking, food ordering and cleaning roughly makes 75% of the role


• Working along side a Registered Nurse for on-call duties 3 times a week


• Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of resident care for reporting purposes


• Collaborating with the team to ensure the delivery of exceptional care both in the HACC building and the Clinic


• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements


• Coordinating casual indigenous staff to cook, clean and deliver food for the community.

What we're looking for


• A current Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification


• Experience or willing to be trained as an AIN, is key


• Desirable but won't impact application: Medication competency and the ability to administer medications under supervision


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families


• A compassionate and empathetic approach to care


• A commitment to maintaining high standards of care and adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures


• Computer competency
